FAQs

What insurances do you take?

I accept several insurance providers including:
– Aetna
– AllWays
– Blue Cross Blue Shield
– Cigna
– Harvard Pilgrim
– Optum
– Tufts
– United
as well as out of network insurance, if your specific plan offers this coverage.
It is important to remember that many insurance companies have co-pays for behavioral health. You will be expected to pay your copay at the time of service.
The most efficient way to find out if your insurance covers my services and what it may cost you is to call your member services line or visit their website.

What do you charge for private pay clients?

Private pay clients can expect a sliding scale based on income. Rates range from $100-150 per clinical hour.

What happens at my first visit?

The first time we meet we will spend time getting to know each other. I will share with you a little bit about my experience, my therapy approach and my personal style. Ideally, you will also share with me what you are hoping to receive from therapy. We will discuss your current concerns as well as pertinent history.

We will review confidentiality and it’s limits, HIPAA requirements and complete any forms or permissions needed. We will discuss payment and insurance coverage and make a tentative plan for ongoing sessions.

If you are a parent or caregiver seeking therapy for your adolescent, we may meet privately first (without your child) or we may meet as a family unit, depending on preference and situation.

Lets work together.
